Kodachadri is one of the delightful mountain pinnacles of Karnataka. It is located in the west of Shimoga district, with an altitude of about 1,343 (4,406 ft) meters above the sea level. It is also recognized as a natural heritage site by Karnataka government. 13 KMs hike gives the required adrenaline rush and gives the ultimate view of Sharavathi backwaters, lush green meadows, jeep trail and dense forest. Exacting Meaning of Kodachadri is “Jasmine of Hills” in the local language of Karnataka. The Place is well known for various cascades and mountain pinnacles and a standout amongst the most acclaimed waterfalls – “Hildumane Falls” is located right in the center of the valley.
